Converter WEBP to JPT

WebP is an open-source format for image files, raster images. Created in 2010 by Google for web graphics in order to quickly upload images to web pages. This is the main advantage of WebP files. Compression of images in this format can go with or without loss, depending on what level of quality you want to achieve. Thus, lossless compression is 26% better than in PNG files. If quality loss is acceptable, then compression in WebP format is 25-34% better than in JPEG files. Full support for WebP is not yet available on Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.

JPT is a file extension belonging to the JPEG 2000 bitmap file category (versions .jp2, .j2k, .jpt and others) and the JPEG 2000 file format. JPEG 2000 format is defined as a system for encoding and transmitting graphic raster files. It was developed by the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG). It is approved by a series of ISO / ITU standards. The JPEG 2000 standard, which was designed from the very beginning to replace traditional JPEG, applies wavelet compression with and without loss. It gives an increased compression ratio and surpasses JPEG by all standards. The standard method for designating JPEG 2000 files is the .jp2 extension. However, other extensions are also used for this. In particular, .jpt. A .jpt file is a JPEG 2000 compressed image. It is saved in the JPT codestream version, where the name means “JPIP Tile-part”. This is a segmented part of JPIP, or the JPEG 2000 interactive protocol. This is the standard JPEG 2000 image streaming protocol. It is oriented to get maximum efficiency and quick access to graphic data. JPT is one of two standard streaming modes. The second mode is called JPP, JPIP Precinct.
