JPS is a bitmap category category format. Its developer is the Joint Photographic Experts Group. A raster stereoscopic JPEG image is stored in a file with a .jps extension. The format is referred to as the Portable Bitmap Image file type. How can I open this format? PBM is a type of PPM format. PBM, that is, Portable Bitmap, is part of the Netpbm graphics package along with a couple of other formats: PGM, that is, Portable Graymap; PPM, i.e. Portable Pixelmap. Occasionally, these three formats are combined under the general name PNM (Portable Anymap). These are intermediate files used in conversion processes supported by Portable Bitmap Utilities (these are applications that have open source code).
