Compared to regular JPEG 2000 images, a .jpm file is a composite image with many layers. This file can have many pages. Moreover, each such page can have several raster objects. JPM files are used as “digital originals” that store scanned copies of documents and other images and / or texts.

CGM is an example of an open vector graphics format and an international standard designed to store and share graphic data. We are talking about raster and 2D vector graphics, text. CGM, that is, Computer Graphics Metafile, is a format that is designed to support the needs of various graphics applications. Any graphic element in such a file can be described both in binary and in text format. At first it was used for clip art libraries. However, the new versions, which are based on the ISO / IEC 8632 standard, have found application in automated drawing design. At the moment, the format is used in design, aviation and other technical fields. Consortium World Wide Web Consortium has developed a profile of the use of CGM on the network - WebCGM. CGM files are encoded using three methods. This is binary encoding, that is, file encoding according to the standard. Allows software products to read a file faster. Then comes character-based encryption. Provides the smallest size option, which saves disk space, and also facilitates the rapid transfer of data. The third type of encryption is text based. With it, users will be able to read and understand the contents of the file, as well as modify it using a basic text editor.
